Hank Willis Thomas: All Things Being Equal presents a survey of the artist’s prolific interdisciplinary career, with a particular focus on the work’s relationship to the photographic image. Published by Aperture, this mid-career monograph is the first time in twenty years that all of Thomas’s work can been seen together. Close collaboration with the artist ensured a faithful process and an appropriate outcome. The book's plate sections and four essays are sequenced according to theme. These elements are punctuated by graphic spreads that aim to reflect the urgency found in the artist's body of work.
