Michael McCaughley is a graphic designer and art director who takes a type-driven approach in creating brand identity systems, publications, editorial projects and event identities. Based in New York, Michael’s recent work has served clients in the areas of art and culture, sports, entertainment, education, politics, as well as type foundries and design entities. In his current role as Design Director at Champions Design, Michael leads the design team through the life cycle of each project, guiding discovery and overseeing execution. His work has been recognized by the Type Directors Club, Communication Arts and Design Observer’s 50 Books/50 Covers. Recently, Michael has taught at the MFA Design Program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
